My first blog entry

Hi all,

My name is Champ and I'm a dog. My owners - Marc and Lahlee - have gone away for a month and I thought I'd create a kind of 'reverse blog'. It's usually the travelers that update a blog and the poor suckers at home that follow the blog. However, I'm such a super-awesome dog that I thought Marc would like to know how I'm going even when he is the one on holiday. So without further ado (not a bad vocabulary for a dog.. eh? ... eh?) I shall 'get into it', as I'm told the young people are want to say nowadays.
A scent of long ago caught my attention in this gutter.

It's 5pm in the afternoon and I've just come back from my second walk of the day. I relieved myself, but of course. My temporary... I'm reluctant to use the word 'owner'... my temporary food-and-walk-provider is OK. He smells a bit funny, but then he is a human.

I met another dog on my walk today. I was a bit startled but it was fun to meet him, after the initial shock. Turns out that poor fellow also has a bit of a limp. I gave him a sniff and I was back on my way.
This is how much food Pete feds me, twice a day.
This is how much food that translates to in my actual bowl.

Upon my return I had my second meal for the day... the same as usual: 1/3 a bowl of dry food. I certainly perk up when my food-and-walk-provider opens that giant food container. I'm still working out how I might be able to prise it open, in spite of my lack of opposable thumbs.
I asked Pete to take this photo of me. What a crap photographer he is, he can't even get rid of the flash-induced green eye effect. Sheesh, I might just eat him soon.

That's it for now. Marc and Lahlee, I hope you're both having a swell time over there in Argentina. I've a second cousin German Shepherd over there - Buen Perro I think is name. If you see him, say 'woof' from me (or is it 'buenos woof'?).

love, Champ

  3. Whacko - I just worked it out so I will repeat my first comment - you are one clever dog Champ very savvy on the computer. I hope that the temp walker/feeder is taking care of you but from your blog enteries you might just want to keep him as I am sure he would not leave you behind if he decided to go travelling.
Hi Marc and Lahlee hope you are having a great time - Champ looks fantastic in his latest video - he seems to be walking really well.
